What makes you different than other makeup artists?
I am licensed with the state of Oregon in sanitation. That means all items in my kit are cleaned and sanitized in between clients. No brush is used without being cleaned, and if it drops on the ground I will not use it on you. I also pride myself in doing the skin prep to help your skin look its best. All makeup applications are applied to best suit your features. I custom mix your foundation and almost always your lipstick. I attend annual training with the pros. I am talking Beyonce & Gwen Stefani’s makeup artists. Continued education is important!
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN MAKEUP?
Not at all! I have a full professional grade sanitized makeup kit as well as makeup brushes I bring with me to every appointment.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
I DO! I have traveled to Arizona, Colorado, and Illinois. I usually stay booked up in the Portland area, but love to travel. There are traveling fees so please reach out to me so we can talk about those. Per Federal regulations I charge .58 a mile outside of Portland,Or. whilst driving.
DO YOU HAVE A SALON?
I do not have a salon, yet. I do get the joy of working out of a few local Portland area salons. I traditionally do onsite work therefore I do not have the full need for a salon. But I do hold licensing to be able to work in a salon as well as onsite.
Will my makeup stay all day?
As much as I would love to 100% guarantee this I can not. I can tell you though that I have never had anyone's makeup come off. I only use professional grade makeup and always use a setting spray to help.
how long does it take to get my hair and makeup done?
I usually like to give myself 60-90 minutes to complete both hair & makeup. It truly all depends on the look and hair style.
Does the price include trial runs?
Yes, it does for the Bride only. A trial run should be set anywhere from 4-8 weeks before the wedding. Trial runs are held in studio in South East Portland. They typically are 2 hours long. This allows us to talk about your desired look, take you from natural beauty and bump up from there. It also gives us enough time to do multiple hair styles.
How can I book my wedding date?
I ask that you put a non refundable retainer fee down when you decide you would like me to be your stylist for the day. That holds your date and I will not take any other appts that day. I will then send over a contract to sign and a link for payment.
Can i just book a trial run before I book my wedding date?
Of course! Trial runs are held at the studio and Monday- Thursday. Note, A trial run does not secure your wedding day services without booking your wedding date as well.
What happens if I cancel you as my stylist?
I always want the bride to feel comfortable with who is helping her look her best for her wedding, even if that is not me. The retainer is non refundable once the date is booked/contract is signed, unless it is cancelled within 48 hours of the date the contract is signed.
Will you be at my wedding to do touch ups?
If I am able to & booked to do so, Yes. I do charge an hourly fee for touch ups or look changes. I also provide a small touch up kit for all brides, as well as a touch up lipstick for all bridal party members who get a service done.
